The easiest way to remember things is to understand them. Even if English is your first language, there are parts of the official guide, Discover Canada, that are not clear. For example, look at this part of the text from page 8 of Discover Canada. Do you understand everything you read?
Canadian law has several sources, including laws passed by Parliament and the provincial legislatures, English common law, the civil code of France and the unwritten constitution that we have inherited from Great Britain.
If there is something you don’t understand, hover your mouse (or tap, if you’re on a mobile device) on the underlined words to get an explanation of what you are reading.
Discover Canada gives you the information; we explain it so you can understand. Unit 1 is FREE, so check it out!

Practice
We have over 650 questions (updated for 2016!) that let you test your knowledge of every part of Discover Canada. You can choose to answer questions from only one chapter at a time, or from all chapters together, in a complete practice exam. Each time you begin a new test, the computer chooses a new set of questions, so you will never write the same test twice.
